As music fills the space, the scents that waft "in between" quietly elevate the quality of the experience.
This spray was born from thinking about the "space that exists between sounds" and what "atmosphere" is needed there.
A fragrance that gently brings you a small, extraordinary moment, as if your everyday life is suddenly shaken and you are lost somewhere other than here.
The scent I chose was the tranquil scent of conifers and herbs.
Cypress and Japanese Sakhalin fir contain phytoncide-based aromatic compounds, known for their forest bathing effect, which are said to purify the space and stabilize the mind.
Cypress evokes the deep, quiet air of a forest and is said to regulate the autonomic nervous system, while Lavender Hyaluronic Acid is particularly soft and rich in calming ingredients that soothe emotional excitement.
Each scent is understated yet gives definition to the air.
It is something that gently adjusts the background of sound and even changes the shape of the sound that reaches your ears.
Fragrance Between Notes quietly nestles in the margins of the music.
This room fragrance enhances the depth of the space and deepens the afterglow of the experience.
This scent is formulated to prepare the mind and body for each phase of the musical experience: introduction, immersion, and landing.
At the beginning, the space is changed to adjust the sensitivity to the sound, and in the middle, it provides a "ground" where the rising emotions can be calmed down.
At the end, a silence lingers, even after the sound has died down.
The scent makes music an experience. Montag Design's room fragrances are designed based on this time-based approach.
introductionThe musical experience: a quiet beginning, a preparatory emotional phase
Fragrance effects: Calms the sympathetic nervous system and opens the senses
▶︎ The coolness and sweetness of fir and lavender redirects your distracted senses inward.
▶︎ The scent resets the space and creates a physical state where you can focus your attention on the sound.
▶︎ Create a foundation that allows the first sound to be perceived as more meaningful.
Immersion
Musical Experience: Emotional and Worldly Hour
Effects of fragrance: Ensuring a sense of security and suppressing excessive excitement
▶︎ The depth of cypress and the serenity of cypress expand your emotional capacity.
▶︎ While the music elevates your emotions, the scent provides a “ground” that allows you to feel safe and immersed.
▶︎ As a result, the scent gently supports the experience of feeling, "This song really hits home."
Landing
Music experience: End to afterglow period
Fragrance effects: Prolonged aftertaste, emotional stability, and memory retention
▶︎ The lavender and subtle hints of cypress remain even after the sound ends, creating the feeling that the experience is quietly continuing.
▶︎ The silent space does not become “nothing” but remains as “a memory of what was there.”
▶︎ It is designed so that the musical experience is not just a "mere temporary stimulation" but a "quietly profound experience."

The Alarm Clock
An unexpected resonance between relaxation and curiosity about travel.
An unexpected resonance between relaxation and curiosity about travel.
An unexpected resonance between relaxation and curiosity about travel.
Without exception, mornings are tough.
Waking up is a race against yourself and against time.
Sometimes you might feel like you're going to lose.
In that case, why not try another time?
"Time" exists all over the world. I don't think you have to focus only on your own time.
There are various scenes in the world when you have to wake up. A family lying on the beach with a beautiful sunset.
People rushing home after a day's work, the bustling flow of people and cars in a big city, etc.
Along with such scenes, as a member of the Earth, I thought, "Next, it's my turn."
If you could greet the morning with this kind of feeling, you would wake up with a strangely satisfying feeling.
Here lies new value created by breaking down preconceived notions.
